I would like to thank Wachovia Bank
for sponsoring my design.
I began work on 3/12/03 sanding
and priming my horse.
On Friday, 3/14 I started
to put on the color.
I began with the hooves to get
a feel for painting her
since I had never painted a fiberglass
anything, let alone a horse!
I am using transparent paints
so I can get the effect of fabric.
Since the actual horse is
different from the flat design
I am adding more detail to the saddle -
two appliqué block designs:
Sun Bonnet Sue and a Piggy Bank
on the sides and a Double Wedding Band
block on the top of the saddle.

Fabric Detail
Now that most of the body is
covered with quilt block
designs, I am working on
putting the details into
the 'fabric'. Most are free hand,
some are stamps.

All that is left is to sign it, polyurethane the horse, and bring my supplies home.
All of the horses will be unveiled at the Sun Fun Parade on May 31st.
Gotcha Covered was located at the corner 10th Ave N. and Oak Street,
by the Wachovia sign.
